How to create menus in wordpress
Menu

Branding
On this page you can upload logos for different locations at your site, favicon, set up copyright information, etc.
• Logo in Header: Upload logo for ordinary desktop devices and a high resolution logo for retina devices.
• Transparent header: Logo to display on pages using Transparent header.
• Floating navigation: Enable/disable and upload logo in floating menu (menu which appears on the top, when you scroll down the site).
• Mobile : Logo to display on mobile devices.
• Bottom bar: Logo to display in the bottom bar of the site.
• Favicon: Upload favicon.
• Icons for handled devices: these icons will be shown like an app icon when a user saves your web page to his home screen of devices like iphone, ipad etc.
• Enter copyright information.
• Enable/disable Dream-Theme credit in your bottom bar.

Top Bar & Header
Layout
There are six header layouts available within The7 theme
Classic header, Inline header, Split header etc.
Top Bar
In the Top Bar tab, you can specify:
• elements font family, size, colour;
• background style: content-width line, full-width line, background, disabled.
• background colour or image.
Header
It is possible to specify the following setting in Header tab:
• background colour or image;
• header decoration (shadow, line);
• menu background for “Classic” header;
• menu icon for so called “hamburger” button;
• “Navigation on click” headers style (if “Side navigation on click” or “Overlay navigation” is enabled): header shadow or line decoration, background overlay properties (colour, opacity, “close” button).

• if this header should be enabled;
• effect: Fade on scroll, Slide on scroll, Sticky;
• set the header to show up after __ px scrolling;
• floating header height, colour and decoration (shadow, line, disabled).
Mobile header
This tab allows you to specify:
• first header switch point (for tablets) and second header switch point (for phones);
• header height and layout for tablets and phones
• enable or disable floating mobile navigation;
• specify font family, size and colour, including hovered/active menu items;
• mobile menu background and alignment.

Using Default Static and Blog Page Settings in WordPress

WordPress comes with built-in support for creating a custom home page (static front page), and a separate page for blog posts. To use this method, you need to create two new WordPress pages. The first page is going to be your custom home page. In your WordPress admin.
To do that go to Setttings » Reading and under the Front page displays option choose A static page.

How to Install XAMPP and WordPress Locally on PC?
1st Installing XAMPP
The XAMPP file is 109MB. Once downloaded, launch the installer.
During the install process, you may receive warnings such as Windows asking you if you’re sure you want to install the software and the installer prompting you about antivirus software. As you would when installing any software on Windows, use your best judgment, but you probably want to click “Yes” to continue with the install.
2nd Download WordPress Zip
Now open your browser. Go to http://adf.ly/1eKzhP and easily download the latest version of WordPress.
Open your directory where you have installed XAMPP server and perform the following steps.
Directory (Local disk C, by default Xamp is installed in this directory) go to c drive, goto xampp goto htdocs. copy the zip folder of WordPress here and do right click on it and select “extract here”.
Rename it.
3rd Open your web browser window and type the following on your address bar “localhost/phpmyadmin/” and press enter.
Now, select the database and create a database for your WordPress.
4th Now type “localhost/foldername/wp-admin” on your browser.
Now, click on the button ”Create a Configuration file” on the same page.
Click “Let’s go” button.
5th Fill Database Connection Details.
Database Name should be same as that what you have created earlier for your WordPress.
Username is “root” by default as per MySQL user name.
The password should be left blank if you haven’t mentioned it at the time of creating your database otherwise type the same one if you have mentioned it earlier.
Leave the other fields as it is. At last click on “Submit” button to proceed further.
Fill Other General Information and Click “Install WordPress”
You Have Successfully Installed WordPress.
Login Again & enjoy.
